This Recruiter position is an exceptional opportunity for an energetic, enthusiastic individual with human resources generalist experience and proven recruiting experience to be responsible for the development, coordination, facilitation, implementation, and maintenance of corporate, regional, and facility related recruitment initiatives as well coordinating recruitment related projects.


This is a 6 month contract 


The successful candidate’s responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Supporting internal and external recruitment campaigns to all levels and areas of the organization, including posting job vacancies, coordinating advertising efforts, and scheduling and participating in interviews;
  • Marketing Chartwell as the “Employer of Choice” at job fairs, universities/colleges, trade shows, and professional associations;
  • Providing support, advice, and guidance to managers specifically related to recruitment, and human resources policies and procedures;
  • Participating as a member of working groups and committees pertinent to the development and growth of Chartwell;
  • Participating in the development of employee targeted marketing materials;
  • Developing and delivering recruitment related workshops and training sessions;
  • Developing, updating, and maintaining employment contracts/agreements;
  • Developing job descriptions;
  • Leading and/or participating in special projects, as assigned.

The ideal candidate possesses:

  • A post-secondary degree or diploma in business or human resources; a CHRP certification is an asset;
  • A working knowledge of provincial and national legislation related to human resources, e.g. Employment Standards, WSIB, Human Rights, Labour Law, etc;
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain a composed attitude while working, with minimal supervision, on multiple tasks;
  • Exceptional customer service orientation;
  • Experience using a variety of software applications;
  • Demonstrated negotiation and presentation skills;
  • The ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
