This role is an exceptional opportunity for an energetic, motivated RN or RPN with two (2) years of management experience in a retirement residence or long term care home. As a self-motivated team leader, you will assist in the hiring, training, and supervision of the resident care team and assume responsibility for the provision of quality care for residents and, in the absence of the General Manager and Resident Services Manager, the retirement residence.
The ideal candidate is able to demonstrate strong organizational and assessment skills. With guidance from the Resident Services Manager, you will put your excellent communication skills to work as you liaise with resident families, physicians, and all community health care agencies, as required.
The successful candidate possesses valid Certificate of Registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario and holds current first aid and CPR certification. Knowledge of relevant legislation is essential, as are computer skills.
