Accounts Receivable Clerk (contract)

The Accounts Receivable Clerk is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of full cycle accounts receivable transactions to ensure that tenant billings and accounts receivable data are maintained in an accurate and timely manner.


Please note this is a 6-month contract position.


The ideal candidate possesses:


  • 4-6 years Functional Accounts Receivable experience;
  • Strong knowledge of the Accounts Receivable cycle and how it relates to finance;
  • Excellent understanding of the Accounts Receivable Policies and Procedures;
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel (intermediate);
  • Ability to work under pressure and multi-task;
  • Ability to work independently;
  • Strong organizational & communication skills
  • Strong customer service skills and attention to detail;
  • The ability to communicate professionally in English and French in both their verbal and written exchanges is an asset

Practicing our corporate values of R.E.S.P.E.C.T., the successful candidate’s responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:


  • Responding in a timely and clear manner to all facility and residents’ queries;
  • Meeting deadlines for miscellaneous charges postings, tenant billings, deposits applications, tenant refunds processing and month-end reconciliations;
  • Setting up new properties on accounting system in timely manner;
  • Updating accounting records for any tenant changes (move-ins, move-outs, room changes, rent changes, etc.) in timely manner;
  • Appling bank deposits against outstanding tenant Accounts Receivable as soon as information is received;
  • Producing and providing facilities with Tenant Billings Report and Aging Accounts Receivable Report in accordance with the set deadlines;
  • Reconciling cash deposits to bank statements;
  • Updating and maintaining tenants’ securities and last month rent deposits listings on the system and reconcile them to general ledger monthly;
  • Assisting property accountants with the month-end revenue analysis, as required;
  • Ensuring that filing for all homes is always up-to-date;
  • Performing other duties as assigned by the Manager.
