Marketing Events Coordinator

This role is an exceptional opportunity for an energetic, motivated leader with experience in marketing and event planning within the seniors housing or hospitality industry. Knowledge of the surrounding area and communities is required. Experience with seniors and computer skills are expected.

The ideal candidates will possess:

  • University or college diploma or 5 years of experience in the field or a related are;
  • Marketing & event-planning and organization experience (required);
  • Experience in seniors housing or hospitality industry (required);
  • Knowledge of the surrounding area and communities (required);
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with little supervision;
  • Excellent verbal and written skills, including public speaking;
  • Superb customer service ethic;
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple deadlines;
  • Basic knowledge of accounting;
  • Proficiency in MS Office, with working knowledge of Word, Power Point and Excel;
  • A valid Class F provincial driver’s license is required, as is access to a vehicle.

Practicing our corporate values of R.E.S.P.E.C.T., the successful candidate’s responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Coordination and facilitation of marketing events as outlined in the property’s marketing plan;
  • Research and implementation of new strategies to increase initial contacts to the retirement community;
  • Planning, organizing and managing social events;
  • Monitoring expenditures of funds allocated to the marketing budget;
  • Promoting our well-appointed, full-service retirement residence while developing and fostering partnerships within the community;
  • Coordination of large-scale events outside of the retirement community including but not limited to golf tournaments, galas, fundraisers, etc;
  • Offering a warm welcome and providing hospitable service to incoming residents and guests;
  • Operating and managing the telephone system to efficiently direct incoming calls.

Successful candidate must provide a current criminal record check and vulnerable sector screening.
