At Chartwell, we recognize that the financial markets are extremely volatile and with interest rates at all time lows, it can be a challenge to produce the monthly income required to live in a retirement community.  As a result, we have developed a number of innovative programs to assist residents achieve peace of mind when it comes to paying our monthly fees, by addressing their two greatest concerns:

“What if I run out of money?”

This concern is more relevant in today’s economic climate than ever before.   While everyone has different timelines, needs and desires, everyone wants to be conservative in budgeting for their retirement.

“What will be left for my children?”

We feel responsible for our children well into their adult years. Planning to leave something to children and grandchildren is a significant concern for many when budgeting for life in a retirement community.

Chartwell understands these concerns and is pleased to offer our unique Payment Option Program (POP)*, the Chartwell Pledge Agreement* and information on potential government subsidies* for your reference.  We have also included a Cost of Living Calculator to assist residents and family members compare the costs of living at home versus living in a retirement community.
